DaysLeft
Effective date: 2026-06-10
In short
DaysLeft does not transmit calculation inputs or sensitive health values to any server. All calculations run locally on your device (in your browser), and results are stored only on your own device. Sensitive data — mental-health screening (PHQ-2), blood values, date of birth — is never stored or transmitted. DaysLeft may send anonymous product-usage events, described in section 4, unless you turn analytics off.
DaysLeft does not transmit calculation inputs or sensitive health values to any server. All calculations run locally in your browser, and results are stored only on your own device. Anonymous usage analytics may be sent unless you turn analytics off.
1. No-collection architecture
No-collection architecture
The DaysLeft web service currently does not collect, use, or share calculation inputs, sensitive health values, or direct identifiers. Biological-age and remaining-time calculations all run in the client (your browser), and no calculation input is sent to any external server. We use no login and no account registration. Anonymous usage analytics are described in section 4.
DaysLeft currently does not collect, use, or share calculation inputs, sensitive health values, or direct identifiers. Calculations are performed entirely client-side; no calculation input leaves your device. Anonymous usage analytics are described below.
2. What is stored / not stored
What is stored / not stored
For trends and personalization, the following is stored only in this device's browser localStorage. It is never transmitted to any server, and you can delete it completely at any time inside the app (see section 3):
- Measurement trend metadata — measurement time, type (survey/blood), chronological age, estimated biological age, gap versus peers, and median age at death
- Simple (survey) measurement inputs and derived metrics — height, weight, lifestyle, family history, chronic conditions, and the like. These are used only on this device as the baseline for the "how would changing your habits move the clock" personalized simulation.
- Year of birth, daily check-ins, reflections, bucket list, and onboarding/mode settings
The following is never stored or transmitted anywhere — it is discarded immediately after the calculation:
- Mental-health screening (PHQ-2) scores and answers — used only to branch the screen and discarded immediately (only a gentle-mode on/off flag remains; the score itself is not stored)
- The 9 precise (blood) test values (fasting glucose, CRP, albumin, etc.) — used only as calculation inputs and then discarded (the raw values are not stored)
- Identifiers such as name, email, phone number, or IP (these are never requested)
Everything is stored only in this device's localStorage and is never transmitted to any server. Your simple-survey inputs and derived metrics are kept on-device to power the personalized "what-if" simulation, and can be fully deleted in-app at any time. PHQ-2 scores/answers, the 9 raw blood values, and any direct identifiers are never stored or transmitted — they are discarded immediately after the calculation.
3. Retention & deletion
Retention & deletion
Everything stored exists only on your own device. You can delete all of it, directly and completely, at any time:
- In the app: More → Settings → Data → "Delete all records" — removes every DaysLeft record on this device at once
- Or remove it instantly by clearing your browser data
- Measurement trends are automatically pruned, oldest first, once they exceed roughly 60 entries
- Because no personal data is stored on a server, there is no server-side deletion request to make
Everything lives only on your device and can be fully erased at any time via More → Settings → Data → “Delete all records,” or by clearing your browser data. There is no server-side personal data to request deletion of.
4. Analytics
Analytics
To improve the service, DaysLeft uses anonymous usage analytics (PostHog). You can turn it off instantly at any time under More → Settings → Consent; once off, nothing further is transmitted. We hold to these principles:
- We use only a random anonymous identifier (distinct_id) and never link it to personal identifiers such as email or phone
- What we collect is limited to bucketed, non-sensitive metrics (for example, screen entry, measurement completion, age-range band)
- We do not transmit mental-health scores, blood values, exact biological/death ages, dates of birth, or free text
- We use localStorage rather than tracking cookies, and we do not use automatic screen capture or session recording
DaysLeft uses anonymous usage analytics (PostHog). We use only a random anonymous distinct_id (not linked to email/phone), capture only bucketed non-sensitive metrics, never transmit mental-health scores, blood values, exact bio/death ages, dates of birth, or free text, and use localStorage rather than tracking cookies with no session recording.
5. Advertising (Google AdSense)
Advertising (Google AdSense)
DaysLeft has added Google AdSense's site verification tag site-wide, ahead of applying for and enabling Google's advertising program. No ad units are displayed anywhere on DaysLeft today — this section describes what will be true once ads are enabled, so the disclosure is in place first.
- Once enabled, ads will only ever appear on informational content pages (for example the guide, methodology, and life-expectancy pages) — never on the measurement flow, the PHQ-2 gentle path, onboarding, your personal saved views (Today / Journey / Life calendar / Bucket list / Reflect / Family), the upgrade or checkout flow, or the Safety page.
- When ads are live, Google and its advertising partners may use cookies or similar technology to serve ads, measure ad performance, and — unless you opt out — personalize ads based on your visits to this or other sites.
- You can opt out of personalized advertising at adssettings.google.com or aboutads.info/choices.
- Visitors from the EEA, UK, and Switzerland are covered by a Google Consent Mode default that denies ad-related cookies until (and unless) consent is given; DaysLeft does not currently show its own consent banner because no ad units are live yet.
- Advertising cookies, when active, are set by Google — not by our own servers — and are separate from the on-device, no-collection handling of calculation inputs and health data described in sections 1-4 above. Enabling ads does not change how those inputs are handled.
DaysLeft has added Google AdSense's site verification tag site-wide but shows no ad units today. Once ads are enabled, they will only appear on informational content pages, never on the measurement/PHQ-2 flow, onboarding, personal saved views, checkout, or the Safety page. Google may then use cookies for ad delivery/measurement/personalization; opt out at adssettings.google.com or aboutads.info/choices. A Consent Mode default denies ad cookies for EEA/UK/Switzerland visitors until consent is given. Ad cookies are set by Google, not us, and do not change the on-device handling of calculation inputs and health data.
6. Payments & license keys
Payments & license keys
Payments are currently paused. When paid plans reopen, they will be sold and processed by the Merchant of Record named at checkout. This keeps our no-collection architecture honest at the boundary:
- Your email and payment method are collected and stored by the Merchant of Record, under their privacy policy — not by us. We still run no accounts and no login.
- Our server only relays license-key status checks (is this key valid, which plan, until when) and stores no purchase records, no payment data, and no buyer identity.
- Your license key and plan status are stored in this device's localStorage, like everything else — and are never sent to analytics.
Payments are currently paused. When sales reopen, the named Merchant of Record will hold your email and payment method, not us. Our server only relays license status (validity, plan, expiry) and stores no purchase or identity data. License state is kept in this device's localStorage and never sent to analytics.
7. 18 years and older
18 years and older
DaysLeft may only be used by people who are 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18.
DaysLeft is intended for users aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect data from minors under 18.
8. Regulatory alignment
Regulatory alignment
- Korea's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA) — because the current design does not collect calculation inputs, sensitive health values, or direct identifiers, this notice is provided for transparency. Anonymous product-usage analytics are limited as described in section 4 and can be turned off.
- Apple App Store Privacy — if packaged for app stores, the disclosure should reflect anonymous analytics/product interaction data and no sensitive health input collection.
- Google Play Data Safety — if packaged for Play, the disclosure should reflect anonymous analytics/product interaction data and no sensitive health input collection.
- Google Play non-medical-device disclaimer — DaysLeft is a wellness and self-awareness tool, not a medical device. It does not diagnose, treat, mitigate, prevent, or monitor disease and should not be used for medical decisions.
PIPA (Korea): calculation inputs, sensitive health values, and direct identifiers are not collected. Anonymous usage analytics are limited and can be turned off. Apple/Google store disclosures should reflect anonymous analytics/product interaction data, not sensitive health input collection.
